BOB Contest

The “BOB”, Beginning of Book, Contest is now closed!  Winners will be announced & prizes awarded on Saturday, at the Conference, during lunch.  Thank you to the many writers who submitted entries and the best of luck to you all!

 

ANWA is hosting the BOB Writing Contest. BOB stands for “Beginning of Book” and is open to all conference attendees.

BOB CONTEST Categories:

1) ROMANCE / WOMEN’S FICTION / GENERAL FICTION

2) SPECULATIVE  (FANTASY / SCI-FI / DYSTOPIA )

3) HISTORICAL

4) YOUNG ADULT / MIDDLE GRADE

5) CHILDREN’S PICTURE BOOK

6) NONFICTION / MEMOIR

ENTRY FEE per submission: $10. Fee paid through registration at anwa-lds.com. Multiple submissions in multiple categories accepted.  If you have already registered for the  ANWA Writers Conference,  you may register for BOB online by going back to the registration page.  Fill in the required fields, then scroll down to the BOB information and click the appropriate fields.  Scroll down again and you will see the cost of your entry fees, click SUBMIT and then you may pay your fee online.

 DEADLINE: ENTRY MUST BE POSTED BY JANUARY 31st, 2012  AT MIDNIGHT

WHO MAY ENTER: Registered attendees of the conference, published and unpublished, may enter. All entries must be original and not previously accepted for publication or production at the time of submission.

HOW TO ENTER:

+Submit name, email address, phone number and TITLE of entry (title in all caps, please), followed by your contest entry in the body of an email

+Please remove any mention of your name from the actual manuscript portion of the email

+Only submit the first 500 words, please. Entries exceeding this limit will be disqualified

+Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entry it believes contains obscene, offensive, or inappropriate content

+Contest sponsor reserves the right to combine categories due to insufficient numbers of entries

+Email entries to ANWABOBContest@hotmail.com

PRIZES: First place prizes will be awarded Saturday of the conference. All entries will receive critiques from three separate judges
